Prague Airport to Vienna: 354 km, about 5 h 25 min by coach (incl. 1 break). We drive Mercedes-Benz and Setra coaches for 49 to 53 passengers with WC and air conditioning, and send a binding quote within 24 hours.

A flight into Prague followed by a stay in Vienna is a common pattern for international tour groups, and congress organisers sometimes route delegates the same way. The coach covers about 354 km in about 5 h 25 min, and because the driving runs past 4.5 hours, the journey includes one mandatory break.

South through Bohemia and Moravia

From the airport the coach heads south-east across Bohemia and into Moravia, then crosses into Austria and reaches Vienna from the north. Czechia and Austria are both in Schengen, so there is no routine border control, but every passenger must have an ID card or passport. The coach pays the Czech and Austrian electronic tolls. The 45-minute break usually falls at a service area in Czechia, a good chance for lunch before the last stretch.

Fitting the transfer into the programme

A landing in the morning or around midday brings the group to Vienna by the evening, in time for dinner. If the flight is delayed, include the flight number in your enquiry and the pick-up adjusts. The hold takes suitcases up to 30 kg per piece, instrument cases and exhibition material. A single coach for 49 to 53 passengers is much easier to manage than several minibuses, especially when everyone needs to arrive at a hotel or venue at the same time.

Our coaches are based in Poprad, Slovakia, and the quote includes driving to Prague Airport for the pick-up. Booking details are on the airport transfer page, and our guide to coach hire costs explains what goes into the price.
