Poprad to Jasná coach transfer for ski groups

Jasná sits on the northern side of Chopok in the Low Tatras and is the largest ski resort in Slovakia. From Poprad it is about 71 km by road and about 1 h 10 min on the coach, so a group based in the High Tatras can ski a different mountain for the day without a long transfer.

West through Liptov and up the valley

The coach heads west from Poprad along the motorway through the Liptov region, with the High Tatras on the right and the Low Tatras ahead. Near Liptovský Mikuláš it turns south into the Demänová valley and climbs to the base of the lifts at Jasná. The whole route is in Slovakia. Winter mountain driving is part of everyday work for a Poprad company, and the last climb is the only part where snow tends to slow things down, so we plan a little extra time on heavy snow days.

Skis, boots and early starts

Ski groups travel with far more luggage than ordinary passengers. The coach's luggage hold takes skis, snowboards and boot bags for the whole group, so nothing needs to go inside on the seats. To make the most of a ski day, groups usually leave Poprad early and return late in the afternoon, after the lifts close. One driver handles the day comfortably within the driving rules.

This route is booked by school ski courses, ski clubs, companies on winter team days and holidaymakers staying around Poprad who want a change of slopes.
